As an advocate of a client-centered approach to the practice of law, Mary Jane Moynahan is dedicated to achieving full and fair compensation for personal injury clients through excellence in law and practice in a team environment. Her knowledge of the Ontario no-fault automobile insurance amendments enacted since 1990 is complemented by her skill in legal research and writing. A Chatham-Kent native, Mary Jane had several years of legal experience prior to attending the University of Windsor Law School, where she graduated in 1994 after undergraduate studies with an emphasis on political science. She articled under Jerry O’Brien, and returned to the firm after her call to the Bar in 1996. She has restricted her legal services to plaintiff personal injury clients.
Mary Jane has a long history of service to her community, including volunteering for the Canadian Cancer Society, coaching baseball and soccer, and fund raising for the minor hockey league. She is a Past President of the Brain Injury Association of Chatham-Kent, where she was in the board of Directors for five years. She has also been active in her church, serving on Parish Council, and Finance and Social Justice Committees. Her leisure is devoted to her husband, children, extended family and friends.
Professionally, she is a member of the Kent Law Association, Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. She at all times attempts to adhere to the maxim - suaviter in modo, fortiter in re – gentle in manner, resolute in deed.
